Dirk is a random kid from the middle of nowhere living in a backwater town alongside his best friend. And aside from a little amnesia and the occasional fever he hasn’t a care in the world. That is until a mercenary band of Tigers come running into his town taking it for themselves and drawing the attention of the Rat Bandits. As chaos swells in the streets a mysterious young woman alongside an old man appears, a pair of Dragons. With a mission of reclaiming their territory Dirk awakens to his own power and the truth of who he is. A sleeping Dragon waiting to awaken as he’s pushed into the ongoing Zodiac Wars as the wars rage on around him.
Vol.1
On the search for clues to his lost past Dirk is escorted by the Dragon Nadav and his granddaughter Gabriela to the Dragon's Sanctuary. Along the way they stop by the trading city of Krass. While taking their break Dirk is attacked by a pack of Rats and kidnapped by a third party. With Gabriela and his sister Rana on the search for him, Dirk must struggle to survive alongside one of his assailants as they try to figure out just who captured them and for what reason.
Vol.2
Separated from the others and now trapped in the underground waterways Dirk and Gabriela alongside the Rat Lada are on the run. The Farm House Alliance has taken the city of Krass and begun spreading drugs to the other clans. As they struggle to hide from the Dogs Gabriela comes face to face with a blast from the past. Panicking she has no choice but the rely on Dirk to lead most of the way as Lada struggles to trust Gabriela. Meanwhile Rana and Lycoris have no choice but to save Nadav to end the situation. However, they don’t have to work along as a strange Monkey joins the fray hoping to ask the pair for an odd favor.
Vol.3
After a tough adventure in Krass and a new member to their group, Dirk and friends finally make their way to the Dragon Sanctuary the hidden home of the remaining Dragons. However, upon arrival Nadav is arrested and the group is separated. As Dirk struggles to figure out the Dragon’s ways he runs somewhat afoul of other Dragons. At the same time Rana tries to learn more smithing techniques and seeks to learn from a Dragon blacksmith alongside Lycoris. All the while Gabriela questions her loyalties torn between what remains of her family and her duties as a Dragon.
